Römerberg Ostzeile in Frankfurt
It forms part of the square of the former City Hall of Frankfurt, place of coronation of the Kings of the Middle Ages.
Each of the six buildings has its own name. In the 17th century, the one located farthest to the left of the complex, called Grosser Engel, served as the seat of the first Frankfurt bank.
Destroyed during World War II, they were rebuilt in the 1980s, according to the original projects, dating from the 11th century.
