Railway Model, extinct in 1963

One of the park’s highlights is a seven-meter model that reproduces the railway line between Porto Alegre and Canela. This line was terminated in 1963.

The path that the train took, in 1924, departed from the state capital, Porto Alegre. I had the objective of reaching the Serra in a trip that took about seven hours.

The model shows the beauty of the path. In addition, it reveals details of local customs and the way of life of the immigrant communities through which the train passed.
