Florianópolis Public Market

This is one of the main tourist attractions in the city. Valued as an artistic, historical and architectural heritage of the Island of Santa Catarina.

Its story begins even before the construction of any physical structure. Between the 17th and 19th centuries, the Ilhéus, owners of stalls, sold various types of products on the beach in front of the current XV de Novembro Square, the entrance to the city.
