The Costelão Gramado steakhouse offers the experience of watching the famous “costelão na valaão”, a delicacy from the time of the “tropeiradas” (cattle drives), which was the name given to the excursions that took the cattle, the “ouvinos”, and whatever else was sold at that time. In these excursions they took the food to support the trip and, when returning, they stocked up on what was missing; the meat couldn’t be missing, so they improvised a way to take it without losing anything and, when the time came to prepare it, they made ditches on the ground and prepared the fire and improvised the skewers with the trees they found along the way.

Churrascaria Costelão Gramado is a family-run churrascaria with the proposal of satisfying customers with quality service and also demonstrating one of the oldest cultural traditions of Rio Grande do Sul, the barbecue in the ditch.
