Kaub Castle, Germany
The castle was originally built in 1325 on the banks of the River Rhine in western Germany. The structure of the work resembles a ship and was used as a kind of “toll station” for the boats that sailed on the river.
Anyone who refused to pay was trapped in a dungeon at the top of the castle. Guided tours are currently organized daily on site.
The site, in the middle valley of the river Rhine, has been designated by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. Its construction defined the limits of Bavaria at the time.
The unusual architectural style of this work adds an exotic and unique concept to the Mini Mundo landscape, leaving it perfectly fitted to the environment.
Faithfully following their original designs, they were hand-drawn and kindly donated to the park. The months of dedication to its construction, on a scale of 1:24, resulted in a replica capable of conveying to our visitors a little of the beauty and importance that the castle represents in its region of origin.
