Church of São Francisco de Assis (Ouro Preto/MG)
This temple began to be built in 1766, but it was not completed until 40 years later. The exquisite architecture makes us imagine how laborious the process was!
The person responsible for the project was Antônio Francisco Lisboa, o Aleijadinho, the highest representative of the Brazilian Baroque period. In 2009, the church was elected one of the Seven Wonders of Portuguese Origin in the World.
